Vormaxlens 2x is enclosed in a metal case with combined optics – glass and polymer. Compression ratio is about 2x.

The lenses have a multi-lightening, anti-reflective or other coating.

The diameter of the anamorphic adapter is 82 mm. The diameter of the front lens is 80 mm. There is also 82 mm thread for filter (macro filters may be used to shoot very close objects).

This is not a single focus, but a dual focus. You need to focus the taking lens on the object and to adjust the adapter focus (to increase sharpness) depending on the distance to the object.

The adapter is able to focus on taking lenses from 20 mm to 85 mm and has a mount 67 mm in diameter.  Attachment of the adapter is carried out directly to the taking lens or through a special clamping device (clamp) to align the adapter horizontally. The clamp included in the kit.

The adapter may have structural differences that do not affect the main characteristics.

The adapter is suitable for crop 2 with Canon 40mm 2.8 lens. There is no vignetting on crop sensor (APS-C), and on the crop sensor 1,6 and 1,5 with a focal length of 58mm (Helios). On the crop 2 sensor (micro 4/3, 16 mm sensor) there is no vignetting at a focal length of 40 mm. It is desirable that the diameter of the taking lens front element is less than 60 mm. It is also necessary to use very clear and sharp lenses as the anamorphic adapter greatly reduces the depth of field (it is harder to focus), slightly blurs the image around the edges.

The maximum sharpness of shooting is achieved at a distance of 2 – 20 meters. 

This is a prototype of the future lenses, it has frayed and processing trace. The lenses are clean and no scratches.
